Spring is almost here and it is time to start planning the garden. For over 20 years now it has been my dream to grow my own herbs, fruits and vegetables to incorporate I to my skincare products and spa services. I have never thought of myself as having much of a free thumb, many plants have perished under my care. But, I have a few beloved plants hat have been with me for over 20 years, and survived almost as many moves. Now that we are moved I into our home and the spa is settling in, I figured it was time to start a garden.

Last year I had my first modest herb garden. Many of my clients here at Tirtha got to experience the lovely herb infused waters that were created from the fresh herbs picked straight from ¬†garden. The herbs did okay, but the soil wasn’t quite right, so that is my main focus for this year. My aspirations are rather modest. There is a very large learning curve for me, but just getting my hands in the dirt is with the trouble.

There are some fascinating reports coming out about doctors inoculating their patients with dirt. Due to the overuse of antibiotics, many people are either becoming allergic or immune. The solution is to make people go outside and put their hands in the  dirt. I guess it helps to populate the body with good diseases fighting bacteria.

Anyway, here are some photos of the beds all laid out and ready to go.

Here are my seeds in their little trays. Some of them are just waiting on some dirt so they can be planted. Others will need to be transplanted and wait another month or so before they go in the ground.

The dirt should be arriving soon. I will plant more pictures once I have a few plants in the ground. I am excited that you will now be greeted by beds of happy little plants when you arrive for your appointments.

Stay healthy, stay safe, stay beautiful!
