This was a product created specifically for my husband, D. He works outside a lot during the winter and his hands start to crack. It looks very painful, so I created this product to keep the moisture in his hands and protect them from the cold. It couldn’t have come at a better time because the East Coast has seen record breaking temperatures this winter.
The key to this hand cream is the addition of Aloe Vera Juice and Lecithin. Typical hand creams are either all oil and butter based, or they oil-in-water emulsions and have too much water. I wanted this one to have the addition of a liquid, but also act more like a pure anhydrous formulation. So, I used Lecithin to create a water-in-oil emulsification. The lecithin not only acts as an emulsifier, but does double duty by keeping the cream from washing off when you get your hands wet. This allows the Shea Butter and Olive Oil to do their magic, without disappearing every time you get near water. That makes it really effective for people who wash their hands a lot. This particular scent is Orange based to match the other “Men’s” products in this line. I put “Men” in parenthesis because they are all Unisex, they were just given as gifts to all the men in our family. The women got more items for the face.
